The attention to detail goes beyond food: an example of Tokyo Cafe’s customer-centric approach is when a waiter promptly corrected a mixed-up soup order by offering a complimentary miso soup, illustrating their commitment to guest satisfaction without hesitation.

It is a true hidden gem in Santa Fe’s culinary landscape, where every visit feels like discovering a cherished secret — one of exceptional quality, nuanced flavors, and warm hospitality.

Always love Tokyo Cafe, but today was great! It wasn’t too busy, we had great service, and great food! I had ordered miso soup instead of clear soup and they accidentally had given me clear soup still. I didn’t say anything as it wasn’t a big deal, but at the end the waiter asked about it as he realized his mistake. I got a free miso soup for the inconvenience! Love it!
This place is great. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was fast. It's a more intimate setting which was nice. They have a great selection of sake. There are also many good options. Will definitely be back.
Tokyo Cafe is a somewhat unheralded gem of the Santa Fe restaurant scene. The service is prompt and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. It's one of our weekly go to's. We appreciate the convenience of the drive through window for our frequent take out orders, but if you choose to dine in , you will find yourself in a very pleasant atmosphere that is at once cozy and slightly whimsical... really cool spot. We love Tokyo Cafe!
We really enjoy this place. We’ve had takeout multiple times and sat down once. We recommend the combo boxes. Relaxed atmosphere and good service. More people should eat here! Surprisingly quiet. Sake/wine/beer. Looking forward to coming more. One note: salad was doused in sauce. Wonderful sauce but too much!
Don't judge a book by its cover! This little restaurant ceased to amaze me. The interior was absolutely beautiful. I would have never guessed from the outside. You definitely have to come in not only to enjoy the restaurant setting, but the food is amazing. The staff was very quick and attentive. If you're looking for a hibachi grill, well, this is the one in Santa Fe. Great menu selections.
10/10 recommend ! From the moment we walked in they sat us down and were super attentive! The food came out in a timely manner. We had the shrimp dumpling appetizer and it was mouthwatering ! I had the bento box and was NOt disappointed at all it was fresh and flavorful. We also ordered beef teriyaki hibachi and it was well seasoned. Definitely coming back! Service was amazing all the way through
Very nice, hard-working staff. The salad dressing, shrimp tempura, fried rice and California roll were good. The soup, salad contents, calamari appetizer, dipping sauce, soy sauce, and ice cream were disappointing. Food arrived in a timely manner. Good value for the money overall.Open late for Santa Fe. I will return to try more sushi items.
